This project generates an appropriate platform for both generation to re-connect for mutual understanding, respect, and trust so that they can benefit from each other through intergenerational co-created learning activities.

The Gearing Up for Third Age & Multi-Generational Capacity Building project is expected to help third agers equipping their future challenges and build harmonious multi-generational family relationships in an aging society.

In this two years project, we hope to establish an “Elderly and Younger friendly society” in Tai Po district through learning, sharing and interacting with each other.

In order to enhance the health resilience of families affected by the pandemic, we collaborated with Wofoo Social Enterprises to provide timely mental support including in-depth consultation services by pharmacist, dietitian, psychologist, family doctors to 150 at-risk families.

Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation donates a startup fund to YMCA Wong Yi Chau Youth Camp for setting up a Solar Clean Energy System that will generate income for 10 years.

The project aims to encourage intergenerational connections and reduce elderlies’ loneliness through different activities including picture book training by letting grandparents telling grandchildren their own stories.

Fight Loneliness aims to engage 50 targeted elderlies to use the ElderlyPlus devices that helps to improve a patient’s overall health status and wellbeing as a care intervention for elderly suffering from loneliness and isolation.

A Wastenot Grandpama stories and photo book with around 40-50 stories and recipes collected from the seniors with their personal history and experiences in cooking with foodwaste and foodscraps.

“Everyone a Caregiver”, which aims to arouse interest and awareness of elderly care among the younger generation

Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation funds Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University for a five-year scholarship program since 2018.

Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation is collaborating with Childhood Is Limited for a one-year project, “The Treasure In My Family” School Performance Day, which aims to focuses on cross-generation.

We mainly focus on helping those grandparents and grandchildren spend quality time and encourage them to learn new things together.

With the collaboration with Chun Tian Hua Hua Foundation, the message of strengthening family relationship ways will be wide spread.

We have a partnership with Caritas Hong Kong and will provide different online channels such as arts, leisure, music, games etc. for 1000 families during home quarantine to fulfill the needs for socialization.

We are going to launch a campaign to raise awareness of intergenerational approach in social sector and encourage NGOs to adopt IG approaches in their services.

The Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation once again sponsored the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society to continue this project. It hopes to deepen and promote harmonious intergenerational family relationships through the establishment of multi-generational family education research.

Collaborating with WWF, the two-year pilot project Hong Kong Active Aging Eco Guide Program will engage 100 retirees (age 55 - 60+) to join Eco Guide Training Courses together with other participants of all ages for maximum collaboration, integration and skill sharing.

The Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation is initiating a program HCFCare, to help healthcare professionals and their families enhance the family wellbeing.

We are now living in a society which people consume goods or services for reasons beyond their basic use-value and that is slowly destroying our environment and possibly affecting our family relationships.

This project is to impart general public with message of love from generation to generation. It aims to encourage individuals in society to manifest love through actions in daily family lives.

Loving Family: Cross-generation Reading Campaign has been launched for a year. The concept is recognized by all kindergartens and we succeeded in bringing the message to home.

The competition, with the theme of “Spending Quality Time with Family”, aims at rekindling people’s valuable memories with family and promoting social inclusion.

By participating in fun and meaningful conversations and project-related activities, the program aims at promoting positive aging and offers an effective way to promote intergenerational understanding.

“LOVE: Pass It On” providing a series of activities, enhancing family relationships and multi-generational communication, consolidating traditional family core values and promote inter-generational values transmission.

Through three generations cooking together and sharing their stories during the competition, arouse the awareness of the family solidarity in the public, and air the message of family love from generation to generation.

The competition invites teams of students and family members to make 1-minute films within a single 24-hour period, thus bridging the generation gap and strengthening family bonds.

The Foundation launched the “Loving Family Learning Platform”. The public can learn how to better communicate with their family members and enhance family cohesion by watching short films on the platform and participate in our sponsored family programs.
