WHO WE ARE
Chairperson’s Message
Healthy families don't happen by accident. They are built — through intention, through practice, and through generations learning from each other.
Since 2008, the Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation has worked to strengthen the bonds that hold families together. Our approach is rooted in a principle that has guided the Lee Kum Kee family for over a century: Si Li Ji Ren (思利及人) — considering everyone's interests before taking action.
In 2026, we sharpened our focus. Rather than treating challenges in isolation, we now take an integrated approach to family solidarity — addressing the roots of disconnection before they become crises. We call this "prevention before sickness": building resilience in families, not waiting until they break.
In practice, this means investing in youth mental health and sleep wellness, supporting working caregivers in the corporate world, and creating intergenerational programmes that connect young people with elders in meaningful ways. It means meeting families where they are — in their communities, their schools, their workplaces — and making solidarity a daily practice, not an aspiration.
We invite our partners, our grantees, and the broader community to join us in this work. Strong families build strong societies. That belief drives everything we do.
Mr. Jason Lee
